I was so busy getting my outfit for the New Year' Eve, that I didn't get a chance to plan my makeup look. I know, what was I thinking.
For the New Year's Eve I opted for a modern metallicsmoky eye. I wanted to keep the eyes bright and yet smoky. I finished the look with glowy pink cheeks and nude glittery lip gloss. So it's all glitz and glam this New Year's Eve.
And here is the finished look, hope you like it ladies!
Your lips are most balanced when the upper and lower lips are equal in size and thickness. That is usually only the case with most models, but with women like you and me, we probably have to cheat the nature.
Keep in mind that lighter colors reflect light, so using lighter lip colors will give a fuller appearance to your lips. Darker lipstick absorbs light, so therefore will make your lips automatically look thinner.

Can't believe it's Christmas already. I have been really busy studying this year, and I am proud to say that I passed my Beauty Specialist ITEC and CIBTAC exams with Merit. Last week I also did an intermediate course with Zoe Clark, one of the best Makeup Artist in Ireland. I can highly recommend this course to any aspiring makeup artist. Lush liquid lipsticks are a mix of lip-gloss and lipstick and are really heavy pigmented and can double up as a blusher or can be also mixed with lip balm or cream to blend down. They will also soften the lips and are super moisturising. The bottle is really cute and is made of recyclable glass.

Confident Confident is a deep plumy burgundy red. This colour applies really unevenly on my lips. To make it look more even, I press the lipstick with my fingers.Other than that it’s a great colour, which is quite trendy at the moment. I like to wear it with nude eyes and bright cheeks.
One of my top favorite nail polishes for this autumn and winter is Rimmel’s Dark Red Shade in 393 Desire.
This nail polish is part of the Rimmel Lycra PRO line, with a large Maxi brush that makes application so easy and streak free.
393 Desire is a stunning shade, very vampy and sultry. It's a very dark black cherry, with plum shimmer infused throughout. It looks like dark brown from afar while up close it looks more like dark plumy red.
It goes on perfectly without streaking and is reasonably long lasting. I always use base coat and then I apply two coats on and finish with top coat.

I created this look with the Makeup Forever Smokey Eye Palette. This is a limited edition palette of Autumn 2011 featuring eight highly pigmented, long-wearing eye shadows, to create a multitude of smoky eye looks, ranging from subtle neutrals to dramatic jewel tones.
I actually can’t believe that I have never reviewed this palette, especially since I use it quite often.
Hello girlies, meet my favourite MAC blushes. I love every single one of them to bits, and they have to compete for my attention on a daily basis. I am a Bobbi Brown blush addict, but I have to say that the MAC blushes are pretty similar in colour and staying power department. If you have never tried a MAC blush, then I urge you to do this immediately. If you haven't tried a MAC blush, you haven't lived. Seriously!

The make-up for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2012looked surprisingly more natural this year than the usual over bronzed look . As I can see from the pics, even the dramatic smoky eye with false eyelashes, was replaced with a very light and subtle smoky eye in neutrals. Of course, the Angel’s skin and cheeks were still glowing with a healthy pink sheen and lips were kept in natural warm pink.
