New Year's Eve Make-up Look for 2012

I was so busy getting my outfit for the New Year' Eve, that I didn't get a chance to plan my makeup look. I know, what was I thinking. 

 For the New Year's Eve I opted for  a modern metallic smoky eye. I wanted to keep the eyes bright and yet smoky. I finished the look with glowy pink cheeks and nude glittery lip gloss. So it's all glitz and glam this New Year's Eve.

 And here is the finished look, hope you like it ladies!

Products used and Step-by-Step application

Eyes

Step 1
Bobbi  Brown Long Wear Cream eye shadow in Beach Bronze - apply the cream eyeshadow on the lid color with flat eye shadow brush.

Step 2

Blend the cream eye shadow towards the brow with a blending brush in circular motions

Step 3

Apply the same eye shadow to the lower lash line with a pencil brush and blend thoroughly.

Step 4

Catrice Precision Eye pencil in 070 Wood if I could, a dark brown shade – apply along the upper lash line and lower lash line

Step 5

Blend the eyeliner in upwards and outwards in circular motion together with the eye shadow using a smudger brush

Step 6

Apply the same eyeliner to the lower waterline

Step 7 

MAC eyeshadow in Texture – apply with a blending brush  in circular motions over the cream eye shadow to smooth out and give depth to the cream eye shadow. 

Step 8

Lacura Concealer pen - Apply on the eyebrow bone, just to make everything  look soft and clean

Step 9

Apply two coats of black mascara (L'Oreal Lash Architect 4D Mascara – Black)

Step 10

Brush the brows upwards and fill out with eyeshadow

Face

Base

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream – primer

MAC Body and Face Foundation

Make Up For Ever Super Matte Powder – to set the base with loose powder using a powder puff

Step 11

Apply matte highlighter or concealer (I used the Lacura Concealer pen) straight down the middle of your nose, few dots under the eyes, the forehead and chin 

Step 12

MAC Mineralize skinfinish in medium deep – used as bronzer here – apply to the temples, on the cheekbones and just right under the jaw line in a figure of 3.

Step 13

Bobbi Brown Blush in Pink Sugar – apply on the apples of the cheeks with a blush brush in sweeping motion aiming towards the temples.

Lips

Step 14

Lancome 201 Beige Noisette, a rosy beige shade - line your lips with the lip liner  and smudge it then into your lips  with your fingertips to soften it

Step 15

Bobbi Brown Bobbi lip gloss in Pink Gold - applied to the lips
