17 smoulder gel eyeliner is gel based eyeliner with a lasting hold. I am usually Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner girl, but I thought I will give this little dupe a chance. I had the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner before and I didn’t really like it. I guess every Gel Eyeliner will fail the test it they are compared to Bobbi Brown or MAC Gel Eyeliner.
It’s a very black shade and you could also smudge it out for a smokey eye or use it as a base for eyeshadow for more dramatic look.
It doesn't fully set down for a few minutes, so if you are not the skilled with the eyeliner application you can easily remove it and reapply again. Once the eyeliner is set, it dries waterproof and there is no moving the thing. It lasts all day long, all night long, and yeah all morning after if you haven’t removed it the night before. It definitely needs to be removed with an oil based makeup remover.
I have the gel eyeliner for about month now, and it started to dry out and it has crumbly feel to it, as you can see from the picture, which I am not happy about.
So overall it is a decent black gel liner if you are on a budget, but if you are looking for a good quality gel eyeliner, then I would recommend to take the splurge and invest in MAC's Fluidline or Bobbi Brown's Gel Liner.
Thanks for the review Marina, I havent tried it yet! I use one from Rimmel and I like it, it still isnt dry and I have it for months now! Kisses and happy weekend dear!:*
