I had never tried before any lipsticks from Revlon as I usually love my high end lipsticks, but the Revlon's Red Lacquer caught my attention so I decided to give it a go.
Red Lacquer is a sheer cool-toned orange red. It’s a daytime red and not a rich, opaque red as it appears in the advertisement.
The lipstick feels smooth and hydrating on the lips and it doesn't bleed or feather but will have to be reapplied constantly. It doesn't last during drinking, eating or even from talking and takes a few swipes to get a bit of cover on my lips to get a nice coverage.
So, if you are looking for an inexpensive beautiful daytime orangebased red lipstick, this would be probably a good option. But if you're looking for a rich, creamy opaque red, then I would suggest to have a look at YSL and MAC lipsticks.
Oh its gorgeous! beautiful shade of red!! Suits you Marina! Hope your 2013 is started at the best! Kisses dear!:*
ReplyDeleteThank you Lilli! Happy New year to you too dear! x
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any revlon lipsticks, its a shame it didn't last long as I'm one of those that hates reapplying a lot, xoxo.

ReplyDeleteA lot of times it's challenging to get that "perfect balance" between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say you have done a amazing job with this. In addition, the blog loads very fast for me on Chrome. Exceptional Blog!

these are my fav inexpensive lipsticks to purchase..i have about 3 or 4 right now but want to get more! i mainly have fuchsia colours in them but they go on really nice and they last a long time (even with eating and drinking!). I always apply a lip balm before any solid lipstick because my lips get so dry in the winter. great fashion blog! i am going to keep reading as I am looking for a nice red lipstick xo
ReplyDeleteplz let us know what u have done wid ur eyes in this pic
ReplyDeleteHi Clara!
DeleteI applied MAC Paint pot Bare Study as a base all over my lid and inside corner of the eyes and then with applied MAC Eye shadow in Kid through the lid crease. I then applied feline eyeliner flick with MAC Fluidline Gel liner in Black Track and then finished off the look with loads of Mascara on bottom and top lashes. On my cheeks,I am wearing Bobbi Brown Blush in Nude Peach.
Hope this helps!
xxx Marina
