Love cobalt blue mascara for summer!

Coloured mascara is quite trendy this summer, and if you are bored with your black mascara, why not pep up your look by adding  a bit of colour to your lashes. I love blue mascaras and eyeliners -  they really add contrst and intensify your eyes no matter what color.  

For this summer look I used the following products:

 

Smashbox Camara Ready BB Cream in light/medium ( no powder used as I was going to the beach!)

Laura Mercier Gel Eyeliner in Canard ( applied with the MAC 266 angled brush )

Inglot Colour Play Mascara in Blue (two coats)

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Powder Pink ( applied with my fingers to both cheeks and lips)

Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner - Review

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you will know that the sultry look is my signature look and hardly ever wear eyeliner. I just prefer the softer Smokey eye to a sophisticated winged liner, but I know that lot of you are a lover of a Cat Eye. In all fairness it is not an easy look to achieve, you need a steady hand to draw a straight line and also it proves quite a challenge to get the wings equally on both sides, Don’t you just hate it it when one flick is perfect and you just can’t get the other eye to match!  But when I heard that Benefit came up with a new product, the They’re Real Push-Up Liner, the first ever lash-hugging gel liner pen, I was excited.  And it is a really genius idea that they came up with, or you could say revolutionary, as there is nothing similar on the market. It’s basically a pen that you twist at the bottom to dispense product through a flat tip applicator. It also has included a makeup lesson how to apply the liner.

17 smoulder gel eyeliner - Review

17 smoulder gel eyeliner is gel based eyeliner with a lasting hold.  I am usually Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner girl, but I thought I will give this little dupe a chance. I had the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner before and I didn’t really like it. I guess every Gel Eyeliner will fail the test it they are compared to Bobbi Brown or MAC Gel Eyeliner.

How to apply eyliner with a sticky tape

1. Apply eye primer to even out eyelid colour and conceal any redness
2. Powder with a translucent powder - this will prevent the eyeliner from smearing
3. Now you can apply eyeshadow or skip this part and leave your eyelids nude
4. Apply sticky tape as shown above in the picture
5. Draw a fine line across your top eyelid  with liquid or gel eye liner
6. Flick it up onto the sticky tape
7. Remove the tape gently

How to do a simple cat eyeliner

Cat eyeliner never seems to be out of fashion.  It was  spotted on many fashion shows last  Spring 2012 and the Bardot-esque cat-eye look was all again  over the autumn  2012 runways.

To me the cat eyeliner is a very classy, and yet sexy make up look, that gives your eyes an instant lift.
