International make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury's launched her first cosmetic line in September 2013 at the counters at Selfridges London. I just couldn't wait to get my hands on the collection and since I had no plans jetting over to London any time soon, I ordered few items from Selfridge's online store, namely, Filmstar Bronze & Glow, Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and the Retoucher.
First in line to be reviewed is the Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow and its safe to say that this is a highlighter and bronzer I've been looking for all my life. I have never come across a sculpting face powder with such a natural and yet luminous effect. It is very flattering and not flat; it doesn't dry my skin or makes it look cakey. The powder is so finely milled, feels silky to touch and is easy to blend.
The packaging is sleek metallic design in rose gold and feels quite heavy in hand. It has a very glamour's and luxurious feel. The compact contains a mirror and two separate compartments for the highlight and the bronze. There is no brush included.
CHANEL Soleil Tan de CHANEL is one of my all time favorite bronzing products of all the time. This bronzer gives me a nice sun-kissed glow without the ugly, ashy powdery finish like some bronzers do.
It looks almost orange in the jar, but when applied to the skin, it gives a beautiful caramel toned highlight to the cheeks; it just makes me look perfectly fresh, like I have been out in the sun for the day.
The packaging is a shatterproof plastic jar which can be bit too large for traveling or to carry around as it takes to much space in a cosmetic bag.
The texture of this matte cream base is very lightweight and airy, almost like a mousse and goes on smooth and blends easily without streaks. Little goes long way, so you need very little product, therefore the jar lasts forever.
Unfortunately, it doesn't come with anything to apply it with, no sponge or no brush, so I use my kabuki brush, swirl in the container, buff the excess on the back of my hand, and apply it under my cheekbones and around the outside of my face for a light contour. Keep in mind that it builds up easily, so start very light since it can get very intense quickly.
The only downside is that it's has a harder surface so most likely some bristles of your brush will get stuck in it, so it can be bit unhygienic.
Cost in Ireland € 39.00 for 30 g.
All I can say is, this is a must have in every women’s handbag, so save up ladies and buy this bronzer ...you won't regret it! Check out my latest video where I you can see how to apply the Soleil Tan de CHANEL:

Essence Sun Club Allover Shimmer for eyes, face and body comes in 2 versions, for 01 blondes Ibiza sun – lighter skin and 02 brunettes miami heat- darker skin. I bought the one for brunnetes 02 which is also for darker skin types and I also liked it better, because of its warmer hue. The Shimmer Powder can be used all year around as a bronzer, blusher, highlighter and eye shadow. At first glance, they Shimmer powder reminded me of Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer bricks, only for a fraction of the price of course. The packaging is see through and contains 6 shimmer stripes of lighter and darker bronzes, pink and a golden highlighter. The powder is soft and shimmery, and is very pigmented so you really need a light hand with these, otherwise you will end up with dark patches.
