My Bobbi Brown Blush collection

I love Bobbi Brown blushes…. If there is one thing I would take to a desert island, it would be my Bobbi Brown blush palette…

Why I love them?
The  blush formula feels silky and they have long-lasting wear. If I put the blush on in the morning it really  stays put until the evening when I got home.
The texture is very soft and smooth and it has a very finely-milled texture that applies with a matte finish. It doesn’t look dry or patchy on the cheeks and it has a very soft, natural appearance.
The blush can be used as a standalone product or popped out and inserted into a larger six pan  palette.  (see pic below)
I think I paid 26 Euro for a pan, and since a little goes a long way, I don’t think I will ever be able to used them up.

Bobbi brown blushes come in two different textures:  Powder Blush and Shimmer Blush
Powder blush is a silky, long-wearing formula with a matte finish.
Shimmer Blush is  velvety formula with a subtle golden or silver micro shimmer finish.
I have to say that the shimmer doesn't show up that much  and it’s more of a sheen. So you definitely won’t end up all glittery.
I have the following Bobbi Brown blushes:

from left to right: Flame, Pink Coral, Coral,
Apricot, Nectar, Tawny

Applied very thick,  from left to right Flame, Pink Coral,Coral, Apricot,Nektar, Tawny

Two coats applied, from left to right: Flame, Pink Coral, Coral, Apricot, Nektar, Tawny

Here is my uptodate  YouTube video with some of my favorite Bobbi Brown Blusher, that I use quite frequently.

Flame is a really vivid red color  with slight gold shimmer. You definitely have to be light-handed with this blush especially of you have a lighter skin tone because the pigment is really strong, but with some powder applied on top to slightly tone it down,   you will end up with nice red pink cheek, that would be even appropriate for a day look.  Especially ladies with  olive and darker  skin tones would look great in a blush this color.

Pink Coral is pinker  than Coral with a gold sparkle. It’s a very warm pink, without being overly orange or peachy.  It’s my second favorite shade and it’s a perfect color for the summer.   It’s a very fresh color and a light touch is good for day, and a heavier touch is amazing for evening look.

Coral is a soft coral-pink with gold sparkles. This is my favorite blush shade.
It really warms up my skin and brightens it instantly , and makes it look all fresh and glowy.

Pink Sugar is a shimmery light pink blush with slight cool tones and small golden sparkling particles which unfortunately tend to flake off.  I use this blush if I want to achieve a light, pinky sheen on my cheeks  that adds nice healthy glow to face.

This color is very bright coraly pink in the pan, but looks very natural on the cheeks.   I like to apply this on the apple of my cheeks, and it gives me a very nice, natural pop of color, just like a natural flush. I look refreshed and healthy with this blush.

Nectar is warm peachy  light pink   and I think this color would look on almost everyone. Nektar applied looks very natural and gives me a beautiful rosy glow on my cheeks. I use it for my daytime look or mix it even sometimes with Coral and Pink coral.

Bobbi Brown Powder  Blush  - Tawny
Tawny is a warm burnt rose shade and to me it’s a perfect winter color. It is quite pigmented so use a light hand as the shade is quite a muddy dark rose. It’s also great color for contouring. I would say this blush would suit  everyone with warmer skin tone.

Bobbi Brown Powder  Blush  - Nude Peach
Nude Peach is a soft peach with a hint of shimmer. The blush can be used just as light hint of color but is also buildable.  I usually  use it for a more natural look or if I am wearing bold lip colour.

Nude Pink is a soft cool matte pale pink. Great color for a natural healthy look, it’s really fresh and brightening.  This blush goes very well with almost every look. Suitable for all skin tones.

Pale Pink has delivers such a great wash of color that looks so natural and looks good no matter what the season. It’s as a very natural looking pink shade and it gives my cheeks a "just been pinched" natural flush of color, as if you have just come in from a cold. Suitable for all skin tones. This is  also one of my favorites, which I use quite often.

Peony is a matte hot pink, which is suitable for warm tone and cold skin  tones. I use this blush for a great pop of color on the apples of my cheeks. If you are fair skinned, you should apply with a light hand.  Quite similar to  MAC’s  Pink Swoon.

Dessert Pink is a brownish-pinky-peach  with an orange undertone. This is a very natural looking blush, which is perfect for everyday.  It’s quite pigmented, so you only need a small amount on your cheeks. This shade would suit best for fair to medium toned skin.

Blushed looks  reddish pink- brown on me. The color makes me look like someone just pinched my cheeks. This blush really looks like a natural color one would blush. Perfect autumn/winter shade.

Slopes is a natural flushed rose, slightly peachy with a bit of beige.  Looks a lot like Desert Rose, only more pinker. It's soft and warm, and not too pink, not bright at all. I use this blush often if I want achieve the natural look.

  13. Ooh, they look so pretty. I've been looking for a good blush since the one I use mostly seems to fade so much after a little bit of time passes.
