Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant

The Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant was my first Aveda skincare purchase ever!

I love Aveda hair products and nothing makes my hair look better.

When I got to Aveda  counter to purchase my all of the time favourite Aveda chamomile conditioner, I asked the sales assistant if there are any good and abrasive exfoliators, which really can take off dead skin cells. She handed me over this green bottle, and I looked at her as if she hasn't heard me correctly, and I said that I was looking for an exfoliator and was expecting more like something in a tube.

She said this is an exfoliator, and in fact its one of their bestsellers in the Aveda Kinetics Line and she has been using it herself for years and still is. Ok I was persuaded, didn't really take much, mind you :)

My Verdict:
This is basically an exfoliating toner, and like a toner, you dab some on a cotton pad and swipe over the face and neck without rinsing.   I use it usually in the evening after cleansing my face and even sometimes in the morning when my skin needs a little pick me up.
It contains all natural ingredients, but also willow bark which is actually salicylic acid and has typical herbal Aveda smell. Although I don't find it to harsh myself, people with really dry or sensitive skin might be irritated by it.
After 2  months using this exfoliant  3-4 times a week, I have noticed a lot less breakouts, smoother skin, more moisturised, overall more refreshed and brighter look and my annoying pores are finally smaller.
The Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant costs € 25.00 for a 250 ml bottle and it really lasts a long time.
So all in all, I am very happy with this exfoliant  and will definitely repurchase.
