First Date Makeup for the over 30's

On your first date with your new hung you certainly want to look your best - unless you don't want to impress the guy, then I suggest you skin the makeup all together or even don't even bother to go on date in the first place - but that's another blog post. When you reach your 30s the first sign on ageing start to show - fine lines, crows feet, marionette lines, lions wrinkles a do I need to go on??? Ah the joys of getting older.

For the first date I suggest you wear very light natural makeup as you don't want to look like you are trying to hard and also wearing more makeup will make you look older. If I want to make model look older I always use more makeup and matte powder on them. And men generally don't like women who wear tons of makeup - one of my male friends told me once that he didn't go on second date with a girl because she was wearing to much makeup - we are talking, full face makeup, red lipstick and fake lashes. So ladies, learn from her mistakes and skip the lashes and the red lippy for the first date with your new man.

I generally never use any powders on me as it makes my skin look very dry and in settles into my lines - I only use setting spay and to set my cream foundation. I kind of like the glowy look so it doesn't bother me if my face lightly shines.

Here is my step by step YouTube tutorial that will suit everyone - of course you don't have to use the same products to get this look.

  1. Some great tips here! At 32 I can relate to these. I have a partner of 10 years however these are great for date night products.

I love the Charlotte Tilbury products especially.
