Festival Makeup - Step-by-step

The festival season is in full swings and it is only understandable that you want to rock all day and night long and still look fabulous. But don’t despair, here is a tutorial for you how to apply festival make up that will last all day long and look fantastic. As you’re not going to have the time to touch up, your best bet would be to use waterproof and long-lasting products that do a double duty. Sunscreen is mandatory and I would recommend at least SPF 30, face paint on the other hand is optional and adds bit of fun to the look.

Step 1
To prime your skin use a waterproof sunblock mixed with your foundation of choice. Alternatively you could use a tinted Moisturizer with SPF or a BB Cream with at least SPF 30. I’ve used NARS Tinted Moisturizer.

Step 2 and 3
Outline the shape of your eye with a dark copper long lasting eye pencil and blend with your fingers it into the roots of the eyelashes. My favourite is the URBAN DECAY 24/7 Eye Pencil in Bourbon absolutely smudge proof once set.

Step 4
Apply a shimmery bronze cream eye shadow to the centre of the eyelid and blend with your finger upwards and outwards.  Try Bobbi Brown Cream eye shadow in Bronze:

Step 5
Apply a shimmery bronze eye pencil to the lower waterline, this will make your eyes look brighter.. I like the Make For Ever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Liner in Bronze 10L, I thinks this is the only liner that stays put on my waterliner for hours.

Step 6
Apply black mascara to the top and bottom eyelashes. I’ve used No 7 Intense Volume Mascara.

Step 7
Define the eyebrows with a brow a brown pencil. I’ve used MAC eye pencil in Taupe.

Step 8
Apply a coral cream blush on to the apple of your cheeks and blend with your fingers. I’ve used Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Coral.

Step 9
Apply the same cream blush to your lips.

And voila you are ready to rock and roll! Happy Festival Season!
