Bathroom shelf of a beauty addict!

It'sa good idea to start using anti-ageing products before you see the ageing effects
such as wrinkles, lines and age spots, but how to choose the  right product among all these creams out there? Don't despair ma beauties, I did a little research for you and all you have to so is look out for the following ingredients, which should be listed on  top of the ingredients list  in order to be effective.

Vitamin A in form of Retinoids
This is a powerful antioxidant with proven results for skin rejuvenation.
How does it work:
It  boosts collagen production, supports connective tissue and stimulates healthy cell renewal to promote improved strength, clarity and tone
Find Vitamin A in your food:
meat, fish, eggs, liver, sweet potato, carrots, spinach,  leafy green vegetables,

Vitamin C
this antioxidant is one of the most effective  ingredients, also known to help the healing process. Look for products that contain stabilised Vitamin C.
How does it work:
It protects the skin from UVA damage, helps boost collagen,  and has  ability to break down free radicals that attack collagen, therefore diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.
Find Vitamin C in your food:
all kind of berries, dark leafy greens, broccoli, fresh herbs, bell peppers, kiwi, oranges

Vitamin E
another powerful antioxidant that can reduce sun damage,  prevent wrinkles, stimulate the blood circulation and improve skin  elasticity. The most active form is alpha tocepherol.
How does it work:
It has complex effects on wound healing. It has shown to penetrate the dermis and  is able to reduce the formation of oxygen radicals that impede healing. Vitamin E also stabilises collagen production.
Find Vitamin E in your food:
spinach, all nuts and seeds, olives, wheat, broccoli, papaya, kiwi, bell pepper

Coenzyme Q10:
is a fat-soluble vitamin that also works as a coenzyme in your cells' production of energy and  is made naturally in the body.Research shows that regular use clearly reduces crow's feet.
How does it work:
CoQ10 is a small molecule that can relatively easily penetrate into skin cells and it may boost skin repair and regeneration and reduce free radical damage. It also  helps our skin molecules to function properly, and improves production of  collagen and elastin.
Find CoQ10 in food:
beef, chicken, fish, oils, nuts, avocado, spinach,  parsley, broccoli,

AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids)
they are mild acids such   fruit acids including glycolic, citric, lactic, malic, and tartaric acids, which are derived from fruit and milk sugars.
How does it work:
They help exfoliate sun damaged skin and also improve moisture content, and a result is  a smother, fresher looking skin.

BHA  (Beta hydroxy acid)
refers specifically to salicyl acid, which  has anti- bacterial and anti-inflammatory action and is best suited for acne prone skin.
How does it work:
It exfoliates the skin and  peels off dead skin cells by loosening the binding substance that make the surface skin cells stick together. It combines well with oil and can penetrate deep inside clogged up pores. By doing this, salicylic acid helps with the growth of new skin cells and keeps the pores clear.

Copper Peptides
are compounds of copper and protein , so basically they deliver copper, which is  a trace element found in every cell to the deeper layers of your skin.
How does it  work:
They  have distinct wound healing and and skin soothing properties,  they rejuvenate skin cells, improving elasticity, firming the skin and reducing fine lines. Also exceptional ability to to  increase skin density and thickness.

Hyaloronic Acid
is a substance that is naturally present in the human body. It is found in the highest concentrations in fluids in the eyes and joints.

It helps the skin retain moisture and plump it out.
So hope the low-down on miracle workers in the jar will help you to see through the anti wrinkle cream jungle and help you  find the most effective cream for you.
