Tom Ford Beauty Eye Color Quad in Burnished Amber

I must admit I have never tried any products by Tom Ford before but I loved the cover photo of Snejana Onopka in Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign. The palette used for the pink plumy smokey eye is the Burnished Amber eye color quad.  I was dreaming about this look and wanted  it so badly to recreate, so I didn't have another choice, then to hand over 70 Euros of my hard earned cash for this little beauty. I know... gasp!

I love the packaging of the quad, it's very classy and sophisticated. The sleek chocolate brown palette with gold detail and mirror-shine surface comes with a large mirror inside and  two double-ended applicators which I have't used yet, since I always use my brushes . It also has and additional chocolate brown suede-feeling cover to protect the surface of the palette.

The  Tom Ford's Burnished Amber palette contains four eyeshadows, which are extremely pigmented and  compliment each other very well. The eyeshadows can be used dry or wet. I only critik that I would have on them, is that they do have loads of fall out, so I would suggets you do the eyemakeup first and then move to foundation.
I would describe the shades of this quad as follows:
- golden beige with shimmer
- medium pink with shimmer
- dark plum with shimmer
- medium golden brown with golden shimmer.

In found  that all these shade would look particular amazing on green and brown eyes. One caution when using pinks, reds and plums around eyes is to line they eyes heavily with black eyeliner and apply tons of  mascara, otherwise you will end up looking as if you have contracted conjunctivitis. Not a great look.
And here is the look...drum bell!

  4. That lip color looks good on you and the packaging is nice.

I saw a picture of Mariah Carey in Tom Ford recently. I didn't like the way that Mariah looked in that picture.

When I saw the picture first I was wondering if it was a mannequin or some sort of wax doll of her.

Mariah is pretty and that was the worst I have ever seen her look in a picture. If it is the makeup, then that brand is definitely not doing her justice. Personally I think it's a combination of the makeup and lighting. Lighting has a lot to do with how good a person looks in a shot.
