Bourjois Rouge Edition - Review

As a lipstick addict, I was very excited to hear that Bourjois had released new collection of 18 lipsticks. The collection is split into three lipstick families to suit all skin tones and tastes, namely; Preppy, Colour Block and Night Out.

Preppy family consists of 6 neutral shades; perfect for daytime or office wear.

Color block family consists of 6 bright  eye catching shades; Perfect if you want to make a statement with your lipstick or add some color to a gloomy winter’s day.

Night out family consists of 6  darker shades; including deep reds and plumy shades , very glam for a night out.  

I adore the sleek packaging and the lipstick formula is excellent.  One quarter of the pigments are lacquered for added shine that make my lips super lustrous. The formula is also enriched with Orchid Blossom Extract for 10 hours of hydration and I’ve to say, that the lipsticks  feel very creamy and hydrating on my lips, almost like lip balm. They are also very pigmented and apply smoothly without streaking. I also love the way the color wears off evenly without leaving the dreaded lip pencil stain.

So far, I am really impressed with this range and would even go so far to claim that they very comparable to my YSL lipstick. 

The price of € 11.99 is bit steeper than your average drugstore lipstick, but in my humble opinion, well worth it.

I picked three lipsticks from the Preppy family, since I own more than enough brighter and darker lipstick shades, and I am also digging the nude look at the moment. I also picked one lippy from Color block family and two shades from the Night Out family.

If you are on hunt for a new lipstick, I highly recommend checking these out, as I feel they are such value for money.
