Makeup Inspiration - jason wu spring 2012 makeup

Makeup created for the Jason Wu Spring 2012 show has to be my favorite makeup look of the season.

The inspiration for the makeup was pop art from the '50s and the '90s, and was created by the makeup artist Diane Kendal.

The makeup was bold and bright, the face is fairly neutral with a block of color on the lips. The eyes weren't the focus of the face, but they were defined with a thin black line along the lashes.

The glowing skin complemented the look and did not compete with the bold lips.

I used the following products for the makeup look:

Face:

Smashbox photo finish primer

Makeup Forever Hd Foundation

MAC Studio finish Concealer in NW15 – to highlight and even out skin tone (applied on middle of forehead, nose bone, under the eye, chin)

smashbox artificial light illuminator in flash-  to emphasize the cheekbones

MAC Cremeblush in Lillicent –light peach shade, blended in together with the smashbox illuminator

Eyes:

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Eyeshadow in Bone as allover lid color and the inner corner– off white shade with shimmer

MAC Eyeshadow – Expensive pink – applied in the lid  crease und under the lower lash line

MAC lip pencil in Naked – on the lower waterline

Essence Liquid eyeliner in black – thin line on the upper lash line, no dramatic flick
Elisabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara in black- only on the upper lash line

Lips:
YSL Rouge lipstick in Sari (bright, red- orange)

mixed with

 Lancôme Rouge in Love lipstick  in 146B Miss Coquelicot ( bright  red coral color)
